Your Personality and Your Personal Reality
Your personality is your state of being. It is who you are ‘being.’ It is made up of your memories, thoughts, feelings, attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions. In this 90 minutes lecture, Dr Joe will discuss & expand on the following:
- Beliefs and perceptions are about how you think and feel. They are just thoughts and feelings that you repeatedly return to in your mind so that it wires your brain and conditions your body into a particular state of being.
- All of your beliefs and perceptions are unconscious filters of how you view the world. They are unedited thoughts and feelings in the subconscious that are hardwired into our brain and body so that we keep doing the same things over and over again. Beliefs and perceptions have emotional control over our body, and so there is a neuro-chemical component to them.
- It is these familiar states of mind and body that create your reality.
- All beliefs have an emotional component to them – that’s what keeps them remaining as beliefs, even if they don’t serve us. If beliefs didn’t have an emotional component they wouldn’t continue to exist as beliefs anymore, as we would simply be able to let go of them. There is an addictive quality to our beliefs.
Beliefs and perceptions are changed by changing the way we think and feel. “We’re reality-producing machines.”- Dr Joe Dispenza from What the Bleep Do We Know!?
